All fall protection equipment requires more than a daily inspection by the user. It must have (required by regulations) a periodic, thorough inspection by a trained and qualified inspector to ensure that it is in top working condition.
Height Safety Services offers such a service for you. We can come to your premises, inspect your FPE, and will have it back in service right away. If you prefer, you can ship it to our location for inspection. You will be advised of any equipment that needs replacement; new items can be ordered for you. The new equipment will also be prepared (inspected, tagged, etc) before putting it into service since new does not always mean flawless.
Accident Investigation - Third Party Expertise
Properly used and approved fall arrest systems will successfully arrest a falling person. That is their purpose! However, sometimes something does go wrong and the person falling may be critically or fatally injured. The cause of 'what went wrong' may be difficult to determine or not clearly identified in the investigation which follows the accident.
Height Safety Services can provide you with any help that may be needed in resolving "what went wrong?" or simply to assess the status of the equipment that was being used. Was it defective? Was it in good condition? Was it tampered with? Determining these answers may require a third party expertise.
